LASIK Preparation
Posted by administration on June 15, 2016
Are you having LASIK surgery soon and wondering what you need to do to prepare?
LASIK surgery, also known as laser in-situ keratomileusis, does not require extensive preparation. If you wear gas permeable contact lenses, they should not be worn for three weeks prior to your surgical evaluation. Other types of contact lenses should also not be worn before your evaluation. The staff at Great Plains Eye Specialists in Rapid City can advise you.
Be sure to bring your prescription eye glasses to your appointment. We will want to check your vision correction prescription. On the day of your surgery, you will want to have a light meal and have someone available to drive you home, since your vision may be blurry after surgery. You should not wear eye makeup the day of surgery.
